Originally formed in 1994, we are a leading provider of finance to UK SMEs and equipment leasing solutions to the NHS. Our group consists of two businesses:
Singers Corporate Asset Finance provides tailored finance for vehicles, machinery, engineering, manufacturing, construction, aviation and most other industry sectors. Founded in 1994, we have a nationwide sales team supported by offices in Dorking, Wisbech and Glasgow to offer sector-specific expertise mixed with local market knowledge. In addition to our asset finance offering, we have divisions dedicated to Block Discounting in Dorking and Taxi Finance in West Malling.
Singers Healthcare Finance is a leading provider of medical equipment leasing to NHS Trusts and private healthcare providers. Established in 1996 the business has expertise in developing funding solutions to meet all NHS equipment needs. We currently provide leasing to over 70% of NHS Trusts and the team is dedicated solely to the healthcare sector.
A brief history of our group
The genesis of Singers lies with the UK merchant bank Singer & Friedlander, which entered the asset finance arena in 1994. The group has provided Block Discounting lines, where we are a leading player in the market since 1995. Singers entered the Healthcare Finance market in 1996, providing upon its inception, operating leases to the NHS. A specialist Taxi Finance division was launched in 1999.
Singers grew organically and via acquisition between 1994 and 2008. Notable acquisitions include businesses such as Hermes Group, East Anglian Finance, Coachlease and Central Scotland Finance.
During 2009 Singers restructured and rebranded its Small and Medium Enterprise lending into Singers Corporate Asset Finance Limited and its healthcare-related lending into Singers Healthcare Finance Limited.
In March 2012 Singers Asset Finance became part of Shawbrook Bank.
